Little Problems and Schedule Slips...

Okay, so I am not normally an organised person. Perhaps the reason I try to immerse myself in chaos is because I don't deal too well with things not working out the way they were supposed to. As a bit of a control freak, I do not enjoy having my plans messed with. But some events are just beyond a person's control.

Basically, I am not impressed with my lack of getting everything together in time. I strongly dislike that my schedule is not being followed.  I mean: what is the point in having made one in the first place...?

I know, I am being quite silly right now. But as I am sat on the studio floor typing this, I feel  bit better for having just said it.

Fear not, though. In case you are my tutor/university overseers (?) then do not fret: I have not thrown in the towel yet. I am determined to have my filming down pat and in order for some relaxed pace post production work to be done in the month of April.

Hence, the little problem that has set me right down here on the floor, is that the board that is to hold up the sky (literally) has to be delivered. And to top it off, it won't be here until March. Yes, you read that right, MARCH. I might be allowed to think that you have had to sit down upon reading this, also.

So, my remedy for this stands as such: hope that it can be delivered before then. But, wishful thinking never finished a job for me. Hence, I have decided that I am going to have a major overhaul on my production schedule.

Because, if you have seen my production schedule, you would understand that my project should be half to a third completed now. And yet, it is only beginning....

So: just to let you know. While the lighting rig is going to be done on Tuesday of this week, I will not be able to begin shooting without the sky until the week after. How are we going to rig lighting properly without the sky though...?

Rather than sit on my hands for a week, I am going to have to bring forward the production of the 2D elements of the film. Basically, the only remedy I see now is doing a week swap. And then, when I have that done, the opening week of March will have to be a furious break storm of all the stop motion elements.

I hope and pray that I will get back on track soon.

P.S. I have spent £386.34 of my budget.

Please remind me that I only have £323.16 remaining. Ta.
